Kya Nethercot is a staffer for the Mariner Compass. As a staffer, Kya writes and edits the articles presented on the site. Kya has a background in previous school newspapers, journalism, and has a general focus on English studies. She uses journalism as a tool to share multiple perspectives on current issues and to spread school pride. Her goal is to provide students, teachers, and parents the information that is important to them. In her free time, she plays both the electric and upright bass. She also enjoys reading and playing DnD.
