TRACK & FIELD

Mariner competed against Lake Stevens High School on Thursday, April 21.

Notable performances from the boys:

  • Julian Nelson-Sellers (SR) – 1600-meter run: 1st place, 4:46.10 minutes – 800 meter run: 3rd place, 2:08.00 minutes.
  • Calvin Gutierrez (SO) – Shot Put: 1st place, 42′ 11″.

Notable performances from the girls:

  • Tegan Ramey (SO) – Long Jump: 1st place, 15′ 2.5″, Triple Jump: 2nd place, 32′ 3.5″.
  • Anna Camara (JR) – Shot Put: 1st place, 30′ 4.5″, Discus: 2nd place, 77′ 2″.
  • Zakiya Nunez (JR) – 400-meter dash: 1st place, 1:03.38 minutes, 200-meter dash: 2nd place, 28.64 seconds.
  • Ava Rudberg (SR) – Pole Vault: Tied-1st place, 7′ 6″.

Several Marauders qualified for the Gear Up Eason Invitational on Saturday, April 23, and had great races.

Notable performances from the boys:

  • Jaquan Means (JR) – 110-meter hurdles: 3rd place in finals, 15.35 seconds, 300-meter Hurdles: 3rd place in finals: 41.39 seconds.
  • Julian Nelson-Sellers (SR) – 3200-meter run: 2nd place in open, 10:02.76 minutes.

Notable performances from the girls:

  • Zakiya Nunez (JR) – 400-meter dash: 2nd place in open, 1:02.39 minutes.
  • Anna Camara (JR) – Shot Put: 11th place in finals, 31′ 1″.
  • Mariner’s 4/400 relay team: 1st place in heat of finals, 22nd overall, 4:31.59.

Mariner will go against Edmonds-Woodway High School on Thursday, April 28.

SOFTBALL

Varsity lost to Jackson High School on Friday, April 22. The Marauders put up a strong fight in the first four innings, but the game ended 12-0. They will play Lake Stevens High School on Thursday, April 28.

 

BOYS SOCCER

Varsity beat Glacier Peak High School 2-1 away from home on Tuesday, April 21. They will play Jackson High School on Tuesday, April 26.

BASEBALL

Varsity beat Evergreen High School on Friday, April 22, winning 8-7.

Against Squalicum High School, the Marauders won both games in a doubleheader, with the first game being won 19-6 and the second game being won 13-1.

They will play Glacier Peak High School on Wednesday, April 27.

GIRLS TENNIS

Girls Tennis lost to Glacier Peak High School on Thursday, April 21. They will play Monroe High School on Monday, April 25.
