The Marauders traveled to Shoreline Stadium to compete against Archbishop Murphy High School and Shorewood High School on April 7. First-place finishers for the boys include:

-Jaquan Means (JR): 100-meter dash – 11.28 seconds, 200-meter dash – 23.03 seconds.

-Julian Nelson-Sellers (SR): 1600-meter run – 4:49.10 minutes.

-Un Wally (SR): 110-meter hurdles – 16.13 seconds, 300-meter hurdles – 41.82 seconds, Long Jump – 19′ 11.5″.

-Aaron Ton (SO): 3200-meter run – 11:21.61 minutes.

-Calvin Gutierrez (SO): Shot Put – 41′ 6.75″, Discus – 109′ 1″.

-Eric Bang (SR): Pole Vault – 11′ 0″, Triple Jump – 35′ 4.5″.

-Mariner’s 4/100-meter relay team.

-Mariner’s 4/400-meter relay team.

First-place finishers for the girls:

-Anna Camara (JR): Shot Put – 31″ 1′, Discus – 87′ 5″.

-Ava Rudberg (SR): Javelin – 97″ 0′, Pole Vault – 8′ 0″

-Angela Rodriguez-Frias (JR): Long Jump – 15′ 6.5″.

-Tegan Ramey (SO): Triple Jump – 32′ 0″.

-Mariner’s 4/100-meter relay team.

-Mariner’s 4/200-meter relay team.


Varsity had a narrow loss at home against Glacier Peak High School 2-1. They will play Jackson High School on April 8 at home.


Varsity beat Meadowdale High School 10-9 at home on April 5. They will play Orcas Island High School on April 9 away from home.

Varsity beat Marysville-Getchell High School 9-5 on April 1 away from home. Bella Torres (FR), Sammi Bruton (SO), and Jaden Gagucas (SR) all had outstanding performances. Mariner will play Evergreen High School on April 11 at home.


The match against Archbishop Murphy High School ended in a 2-5 loss. Elora Kim (SR), Mariner’s Singles 1, beat her opponent 7-6 and 6-0. Mariner’s Doubles 3, Aimee Le (SO) and Jaypen Trevino (JR) beat their opponents 6-2 and 6-2. Mariner will play Henry M. Jackson High School on April 19.


Michael Fregon (SR) had a great performance against Shorecrest High School on April 7.
