BOYS BASKETBALL

Varsity played Lake Stevens High School on January 12, winning 75-53. The Marauders’ team performance was key in their offensive dominance. Top scorers include Naser Motley’s (SR) team-leading 17 points, Tijan Saine (SR) with 16 points, Dakota Joseph (SR) with 15 points, and Isaiah Cuellar (SO) with 14 points. Varsity will look to extend their conference record to 2-0 against Henry M. Jackson High School at home on January 17.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Varsity took down Marysville-Pilchuck High School 60-34 on the 4th of January to start 2022. Danaysia Cain (JR) and Kyarria Roussin (FR) were clinical outside the three-point line. The Marauders were too hot to handle on the fast break, with Elsie Rudberg (SO) and Angela Rodriguez-Frias (JR) aiding in the team’s counterattacking dominance. Mariner recorded 29 rebounds, 35 steals, and eight assists. Varsity will compete against Henry M. Jackson High School at home on January 17.

BOYS SWIM & DIVE

Boys Swim & Dive faced Marysville-Getchell High School and Marysville-Pilchuck High School on January 11. The Marauders beat the Tomahawks 119-38 and came close to beating the Chargers, narrowing losing 79-86. First-place finishes for Mariner included Dylan Bui (SO) in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:28.24, and the 4/100 yard relay team of Jonathan Kim (JR), Aaron Ly (JR), Rogelio Jamero (JR), and Matthew Meisner (SR). Boys Swim & Dive will compete against Mountlake Terrace High School on January 13 at home.
